"Behala Classical Festival" In Its Fifth Edition

Music is the social act of communication among people, a gesture of friendship, the strongest there is, and so was the call of "Behala Classical Festival" which stepped in its fifth edition this year, organized by #BehalaSanskritikSammilani and presented by Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers. The season five of the classical festival that pays tribute to Pt. Ravi Shankar, would be held from 7th January to 10th January 2017, at the Behala Blind School Ground, Kolkata. The festival was inaugurated by Shri Sovan Chattopadhyay, Honble Mayor, Kolkata Municipal Corporation and Shri Debasish Kumar, Member, Mayor-In-Council in the august presence of the doyens of Indian Classical Music, Sitar Maestro Anupama Bhagwat and Tabla Maestro Pt. Swapan Choudhuri. The evening also witnessed the felicitation of Master singer of Bengali Songs, Bhajans and a top Indian radio and television artist, Pt. Arun Bhaduri for his immense contribution to Indian Classical Music.
